GetResponse review for freelancers comparing email marketing plans

An independent, affiliate-supported assessment by SoloOps Stack. This is a review of the official pricing page, not a report from an account we have operated or a hands-on test.

The short version

GetResponse's pricing page lists three standard plans — Starter, Marketer and Creator — plus Enterprise at custom pricing. The cards display USD amounts, and the FAQ says monthly plans are bracketed by list size, starting at US$19 per month for unlimited messages to 1,000 subscribers. S1

Our editorial view: GetResponse is a sensible shortlist candidate when the job is email plus landing pages or, on Creator, a course and webinars. It is a weak page to use for a GBP quote, because this fetch did not show GBP prices. It is also a weak page to treat as one price for every list size.

SoloOps Stack is not GetResponse. We do not provide GetResponse account support, and this review is not an official GetResponse recommendation.

What we checked

We reviewed the official pricing page, including the plan cards and the pricing FAQ, on 2026-11-06. Price nodes on the cards were marked data-currency="USD". No overall publication or update date was shown. A copyright line says 2026. That is not a date for the price table. S1

Our criteria are the published plan names, the card prices, the list-size options named in the FAQ, trial limits, and user or automation limits the FAQ states in full sentences. We have not measured deliverability, support response times, usability or commercial results. A testimonial on the page is not used.

Plan overview: monthly card price and annual card price

Each standard card showed two USD amounts per month. The higher figure was also stored as the original price. The lower figure sat with the label "Paid annually." The FAQ says you can choose a standard plan billed every month, or 12-month prepay with an 18% discount, and that an annual subscription is paid in full in advance. This review does not invent a price for list sizes other than the starting point the FAQ names. S1

Plan Higher card figure Lower card figure, labelled paid annually What the page states about that plan
Starter US$19/mo US$15.58/mo FAQ: 3 users, ecommerce integrations, and 1 automation workflow. AI tools are limited to 3 uses. Card also lists unlimited monthly email sends, a welcome email series, a landing page builder, signup forms and popups, and a free custom domain on the yearly plan.
Marketer US$59/mo US$48.38/mo FAQ: unlimited marketing automation and ecommerce tools, unlimited landing pages, and up to 5 users. Card also lists sales funnels, abandoned cart recovery, promo codes and revenue reports, and unlimited web push notifications.
Creator US$69/mo US$56.58/mo FAQ: courses, paid newsletters, automation, ecommerce tools, and webinars for up to 100 attendees, with up to 5 users. Card also lists a website builder, course creator for up to 500 students, and premium newsletter subscriptions.
Enterprise Custom pricing Custom pricing FAQ: quote-based. Billing can be monthly, 12 months or 24 months. A 30-day Pilot Program is described as available after booking a demo. No dollar price was on the card.

Source for every figure in this table: the official pricing page, accessed 2026-11-06. The FAQ says monthly plans start at US$19 per month for unlimited messages to 1,000 subscribers, which matches the higher Starter figure. The cards did not print a separate price beside each larger list size. Those sizes are named: 1k, 2.5k, 5k, 10k, 25k, 50k and 100k. Their prices are unclear from the cards alone. S1

The cards also say "save up to" US$41 a year on Starter, US$127 on Marketer and US$149 on Creator under the annual label. Those are the vendor's stated savings, not a price this review calculated. A separate 50% discount for charities and NGOs is advertised on the page. It is not the standard card price. S1

What changes between plans?

Starter is the plan with one automation workflow and three users. Marketer is the plan the FAQ describes as unlimited automation and ecommerce tools. Creator is the plan that adds courses and webinars, with the student cap and the webinar-attendee cap above coming from different sentences on the same page. Enterprise is not given a public dollar price. S1

For a solo business, our recommendation is to price the list size you will actually store, not only the starting 1,000-subscriber sentence.

Pros: reasons to put GetResponse on your shortlist

  • The starting monthly and annual figures are both on the card. A reader can see US$19/mo and US$15.58/mo for Starter without guessing a discount percentage, and the FAQ states the 18% 12-month discount separately. S1
  • Email sending on the paid cards is described as unlimited monthly sends. That is the card wording for Starter, Marketer and Creator. It is not a statement about the free account. S1
  • Trial limits are specific. The FAQ says the first 14 days include premium features with limits: courses for up to 250 students but selling only on a paid plan; webinar recordings and on-demand webinars limited to 10 people including presenters; landing pages limited to 1,000 unique visitors per month; a GetResponse badge on messages from the free account. S1
  • User counts are stated for the standard plans. Three users on Starter and up to five on Marketer and Creator give a solo team a number to check. S1

Cons and tradeoffs to consider

One card price is not every list size

The FAQ says monthly payment plans are bracketed by list size and start at US$19 for 1,000 subscribers. Larger brackets exist. This review does not quote them, because the fetched cards did not label a dollar amount for each bracket. Assume the price changes until you select the list size in the vendor's own checkout. S1

After 14 days the premium access ends

The FAQ says that after the first 14 days you lose premium features and can still log in to a free version. The full list of what remains on that free version is not on the pricing FAQ; the page points to another article for those limits. Those post-trial free limits are therefore unclear here. S1

GBP prices and processor fees are not on this page

No GBP amount appeared in the pricing HTML we saved. No card-processing percentage was stated. Both are unclear from this source. S1

A platform does not do the business planning for you

Our advice: decide whether you need one automation, ecommerce features, or a course and webinars, and then match that to Starter, Marketer or Creator. The Enterprise feature list is not a quote.

Who it may suit

Consider GetResponse if you want email and landing pages at the published starting USD prices, or Creator's course and webinar tools within the caps the page states. That is a fit judgement based on the published scope, not a test result. S1

Who should compare alternatives first

Compare AWeber if you want another email plan with a published subscriber-tier table. Read the AWeber review. Compare a funnel-and-course bundle in the Systeme.io review, or a CRM bundle in the HubSpot review, if email alone is not the job.

A useful next step

Choose the list size you need and write down whether you will pay monthly or for 12 months. Then read the price that the vendor shows for that exact package before paying.
