Systeme.io review for freelancers comparing funnels, email and courses

We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. How we make money

An independent, affiliate-supported assessment by SoloOps Stack. This is a review of official pricing and help documentation, not a report from an account we have operated or a hands-on test.

The short version

Systeme.io's pricing page describes an all-in-one platform for sales funnels, email marketing, online courses, websites, memberships, automation and affiliate programs. The readable plan prices are monthly USD figures for Free, Startup, Webinar and Unlimited. The main on-page comparison grid did not return plan values in this fetch, so those cells are not used. S1

Our editorial view: Systeme.io is a sensible shortlist candidate when the project is a funnel, email follow-up and a course, and the published contact and funnel caps are enough. It is less compelling if you need a dedicated product-shop workflow as the centre of the business, or if you need a GBP price that this page did not show.

SoloOps Stack is not Systeme.io. We do not provide Systeme.io account support, and this review is not an official Systeme.io recommendation.

What we checked

We reviewed the official pricing page, including its structured data and FAQ, and the official help article on how subscriptions are moderated. All were accessed on 2026-11-06. The pricing page's structured data says dateModified 2026-10-20. The help article says it was last updated on October 7, 2026. Both dates are within the last 12 months. S1 S2

Our criteria are the published plan names, monthly prices, contact and course limits, the free-plan sales cap, and what the two sources disagree about. We have not measured speed, support response times, usability or commercial results. The pricing FAQ also compares Systeme.io with other vendors' prices; those competitor figures are not used here.

Plan overview: monthly USD prices from the FAQ and structured data

The FAQ and the page's Offer data agree on these monthly prices and on the contact, funnel and course counts below. The FAQ prices are written as per month. Annual totals are not in that FAQ. The page also shows an annual-billing option described as "2 months free." This review does not turn that slogan into a calculated yearly price. S1

Plan Monthly price in the FAQ and Offer data Selected published allowances
Free US$0 2,000 contacts; 3 sales funnels; 1 course. The Offer text also says 1 blog, up to 500 students on that course, 1 affiliate program and 1 custom domain.
Startup US$17 5,000 contacts; 10 sales funnels; 5 courses. The Offer text also says 10 automation rules.
Webinar US$47 10,000 contacts; 50 sales funnels; 20 courses; evergreen webinars. The Offer text also says 100 automation rules.
Unlimited US$97 Unlimited contacts, sales funnels, courses and automation rules, in the wording of the FAQ.

Source for every figure in this table: the official pricing page's FAQ and matching Offer structured data, accessed 2026-11-06. Currency is USD in the Offer priceCurrency fields. No GBP subscription price was verified on this page. S1

The same FAQ says every plan includes unlimited email sends, 0% transaction fees and unlimited sub-accounts, and that each sub-account has the same limits as the plan. "0% transaction fees" is the vendor's phrase. The FAQ does not itemise a payment-processor rate, so this review does not treat that phrase as evidence that card processing is free. S1

What changes between plans?

The FAQ's own selection guide is by contact count: under 2,000 contacts it points at Free if 3 funnels and 1 automation rule are enough; 2,000 to 5,000 contacts, or a need for more funnels or automation rules, at Startup; evergreen webinars or 5,000 to 10,000 contacts at Webinar; over 10,000 contacts, or unlimited funnels and automation rules, at Unlimited. S1

Free is also described as having no end date and no credit-card requirement, with lower limits the FAQ names as 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. Accounts with no login or activity for 6 months are deactivated, according to that answer. S1

For a solo business, our recommendation is to match the contact cap and the funnel or course count you will actually use. Do not buy Unlimited only because the word "unlimited" appears.

Pros: reasons to put Systeme.io on your shortlist

  • The documented scope matches a funnel-and-course project. The pricing page's software description lists sales funnels, email marketing, online courses, a website builder, memberships, automation and affiliate programs. S1
  • There is a US$0 plan with stated caps. Free is not described as limitless. The caps above are specific enough to check before relying on it. S1
  • Paid steps are published in dollars per month. Startup, Webinar and Unlimited have FAQ prices, so a freelancer can compare the billing commitment with the allowance that changes. S1
  • Cancellation is described. The FAQ says you can upgrade or cancel from account settings, that cancelling keeps the current plan until the next billing date and then moves the account to Free, and that contacts, funnels and courses are not deleted. It also says payments are non-refundable. S1

Cons and tradeoffs to consider

The free plan has a sales cap, and two official pages do not describe enforcement the same way

The pricing FAQ says Free can process up to US$10,000 in total sales, and that once you reach that you have 3 days to upgrade to keep accepting payments. The help article, updated 7 October 2026, says free accounts have a lifetime sales revenue limit of US$10,000, that a warning banner appears at US$8,000, and that at the limit payment pages stop accepting new sales until you upgrade. It also says affiliate commissions are not included in that limit. It does not mention a 3-day window. The shared fact is the US$10,000 free-plan sales limit. The exact timing of when new sales stop is unclear because the two current pages differ. S1 S2

Going over a limit is not a soft warning only

The pricing FAQ says a warning email is sent each day for 3 days. If nothing changes by day 4, a paid plan is automatically upgraded to the next plan, and a free plan is restricted: opt-in forms and payments stop, new contacts or students cannot be added, emails and new automations are paused, and students cannot access courses. The FAQ says nothing is deleted. S1

Annual price and GBP price are not established here

Annual billing is offered, including a "2 months free" line on the pricing page, but the readable FAQ and Offer data quote monthly USD prices only. A UK subscription price in GBP was not on the page we used. Check the vendor's current quote rather than converting these dollars. S1

A platform does not do the business planning for you

Our advice: sketch the funnel, the emails and the course access you will actually run. The feature list does not establish that a physical-product shipping workflow is included; this review did not re-check a shipping help article.

Who it may suit

Consider Systeme.io if the published funnel, email and course allowances match the offer you want to run, including the free-plan sales cap if you intend to stay on Free. That is a fit judgement based on the published scope, not a test result. S1

Who should compare alternatives first

Compare a dedicated store first if the shop, inventory and orders are the centre of the project. Read the Shopify review or the Shopify vs Systeme.io comparison. Compare an email-led plan in the GetResponse review or the AWeber review if funnels and courses are not the job.

A useful next step

Count the contacts, funnels and courses you need on day one, and decide whether the free-plan sales cap is acceptable. Then read the current plan page again before paying.

  • S2 — Systeme.io free-plan lifetime sales limit, US$8,000 warning and payment pages stopping at the cap — https://help.systeme.io/article/1509-how-systeme-io-subscription-plans-are-moderated — accessed 2026-11-06. The article says "Last updated on October 7, 2026," within the last 12 months. It states a US$10,000 lifetime sales revenue limit and that payment pages stop at that limit. It does not state the pricing FAQ's three-day upgrade window. Exact enforcement timing is therefore not asserted.
